My alter-ego is a photographer. And recently I was asked by another photographer friend of mine to participate in a wonderful fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research.
We are hoping to get women of all ages and from all walks of life to come out en masse in their finest dresses to be photographed by a local professional photographer. All proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Breast Cancer research is a cause that is close to my heart as my mother is a 2-time Breast Cancer Survivor. She was first diagnosed when she was 28 years old, before I was even born. However, I was around to see her battle it a second time five years ago. The various treatments and the Chemo made her feel like she had lost her femininity. That is why I personally think that this "Rock the Dress" event is a wonderful idea.

I ask that you please spread the word about this event - tell your mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, daughters, etc. The more money we can raise, the closer it puts us towards a cure!
Here are the details:
Cost: $100 (This includes a 45 minute, one-on-one photo shoot with a professional photographer and a disc with 20 edited digital images).
What to Wear: Raid your closet for an evening gown, wedding dress, bridesmaid dress, or grad dress. The more fabulous, the better!
