While I was living in London, I came across these little Asian dolls called Momiji Dolls. They were just so cute and unique that I fell in love with them and started my own mini collection.
Momiji also features guest designers who will create their own line of dolls, which get retired every year. (I know, a bit reminiscent of the whole "Beanie Baby craze"). There are just so many cute and funky dolls that my collection doesn't do them justice! There is also a place under each doll to write a note to a friend or to "hide a secret".
Each doll has a different name, costume and "likes".
You can view the entire collection of dolls at: http://lovemomiji.com/dolls/cat_47.html . In Edmonton you can buy them at Dansk in Southgate Centre and I have also seen them on Whyte Ave. They're about $20 each.

Cute! I could have used one of these when I was school, would have come in handy for passing notes in class. =)
ReplyDeleteI never thought of that!
ReplyDeleteHey! I am looking for these! Do you remember what store you saw them in on Whyte Ave? And when did you see them at Southgate? I'm glad you posted this, thanks!
ReplyDeleteOn Whyte Ave, I can't recall what the name of the store was. I saw them at Southgate a couple of months ago. And apparently The Lemon Tree in Hub Mall also carries them.
